Why being on mission matters immensely (part 7)

Being on mission matters immensely because,

Many folks cannot get to Jesus…He (we) must get to them.

When He got out of the boat, immediately a man from the tombs with an unclean spirit met Him. (Mark 5:2)

Is it even imaginable that this demonized man could have made it to Palestine to meet Jesus?  There was no hope of him getting to Jesus.  Jesus had to get to Him.  There are billions of people in our world who have little opportunity to reach out to Jesus, unless His people reach out to them.

80% of non-Christian immigrants in America say that they do not know a Christian within their ethnic/cultural subgroup. There is such an opportunity for everyday Christians in the US to become cross-cultural missionaries…without ever leaving getting on a plane or boat!

Jesus said, “I came to seek and to save that which was lost.”

But too often we Christians think or say, “If you are lost and want Jesus, come find us and we will share Him with you…our doors are always open!”

This is another reason why being on mission matters immensely:  Jesus knows that people cannot get to Him without His people going to them.
